Poetiche del trauma. La rappresentazione del trauma nella poesia in inglese di Amelia Rosselli

dc.abstract.en	This paper analyses the ways in which Amelia Rosselli’s trauma manifests in her poetry, with particular attention to her works in English. Starting from a theoretical framework on trauma studies and the author’s historical and family context, I have tried to focus the research on the intertwining of historical and personal trauma in Amelia Rosselli’s biography and on the ways in which she processes her traumatic experiences in her texts through specific linguistic or syntactic choices such as: fragmentary language, semantic shifts and the use of English mixed with syntactic structures from the other languages spoken by the author. What emerges is a poetry in which trauma becomes a structuring principle of the discourse, influencing the forms of representation.

dc.abstract.other	La presente tesi analizza le modalità con cui il trauma di Amelia Rosselli si manifesta nella sua poesia, con particolare attenzione alle sue opere in lingua inglese. Partendo da un quadro teorico sui trauma studies e dal contesto storico e familiare dell’autrice, ho cercato di concentrare la ricerca sull’intreccio tra trauma storico e personale nella biografia di Amelia Rosselli e sui modi in cui lei rielabora le sue esperienze traumatiche nei suoi testi attraverso scelte linguistiche o sintattiche specifiche quali: linguaggio frammentario, slittamenti semantici e l’uso dell’inglese mescolato a strutture sintattiche provenienti da altre lingue parlate dall’autrice. Ciò che emerge è una poetica in cui il trauma diventa principio strutturante del discorso, influenzando le forme di rappresentazione.
