Studium demonizmu Daisy i „organizmu wampirycznego” w Wampirze W.S. Reymonta

dc.abstract.en	This thesis is a study of vampiric motifs in the novel Wampir (The Vampire) by Władysław Stanisław Reymont. The aim of this work is to analyze and interpret these motifs, as well as to examine the demonic nature of the character Diasa. Based on the conducted analysis, an attempt has been made to determine the nature of the Reymontian vampire figure: whether it is personal, psychological, or if it materializes within the structure of the urban space. The study introduces the concept of the vampiric organism, which describes the relationship between the vampiric elements and structures presented in the work. The analysis of the actions of these vampiric components is grounded in the science fiction/fantasy literary convention of demonic possession. The thesis consists of an exploration of the work’s genesis, a characterization of the central demonic figure, followed by the victim, a description of the stages of possession and their realization in the text, as well as a detailed analysis of the urban space, including the eclectic religious elements contained therein. The attempt to synthesize these phenomena allows for a comprehensive reading of the counter-mimetic elements in Reymont's novel.
dc.abstract.pl	Niniejsza praca stanowi studium motywów wampirycznych w powieści Wampir Władysława Stanisława Reymonta. Celem pracy jest analiza i interpretacja tych motywów oraz zbadanie demonicznego charakteru postaci Diasy. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy spróbowano ustalić, jaki charakter ma figura Reymontowskiego wampira: osobowy, psychologiczny, czy też materializuje się on w strukturze przestrzeni miejskiej. W pracy wprowadzono pojęcie „organizmu wampirycznego”, opisujące relację między elementami i strukturami wampirycznymi przedstawionymi w utworze. Analiza działań składników wampirycznych osadzona została w fantastycznoliterackiej konwencji opętania demonicznego. Praca składa się z genezy utworu, charakterystyki centralnej postaci demonicznej, następnie ofiary, opisu i etapów opętania oraz ich realizacji w utworze, a także szczegółowej analizy przestrzeni miejskiej, wraz z wchodzącymi w jej skład eklektycznymi elementami religijnymi. Podjęta próba syntetycznego ujęcia tych zjawisk pozwala na całościowe odczytanie elementów kontrmimetycznych w powieści Reymonta.
