Grand Paris Express i rola transportu szynowego w Wielkim Paryżu

dc.abstract.en	The aim of this paper is to present the role of the Grand Paris Express project and other rail transport in Greater Paris in the development of sustainable transport and the polycentricity of the region. The first chapter is dedicated to introducing the topic, explaining the aim and scope of the work, the research methodology, and reviewing the literature. The second chapter discusses changes in public transport in Greater Paris. It describes the infrastructure network, presents the changes taking place, and examples of actions that affect the daily lives of the residents of the studied area. The third chapter describes the vision and goal of the Grand Paris Express (GPE), along with the presentation of technical and logistical elements related to the construction of the investment and its integration with the existing transport system. The fourth chapter contains an analysis of the characteristics of the Grand Paris Express as sustainable transport, considering social, economic, and ecological aspects. The fifth chapter focuses on the impact of the project on the polycentricity of Greater Paris, presenting data and conclusions. The time frame of the work covers the years from the first decade of the 21st century (the beginning of considerations on the implementation of the project) to the present, i.e., 2024. However, in order to outline the development of transport in the Paris metropolitan area, reference is made to the period from the early 20th century to the present. The spatial scope of the research mainly covers the area of Greater Paris, but in some analyses, the city of Paris itself is also considered, as well as, in a broader sense, the Île-de-France region.
dc.abstract.pl	Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie roli projektu Grand Paris Express i pozostałego transportu szynowego w Wielkim Paryżu, w rozwoju transportu zrównoważonego i policentryczności regionu. Rozdział pierwszy poświęcony jest wprowadzeniu w temat oraz wytłumaczenie celu i zakresu pracy oraz, metodologii badawczej oraz przeglądowi literatury. W rozdziale drugim omówiono zmiany w transporcie publicznym w Wielkim Paryżu. Dokonano w nim opisu sieci infrastrukturalnej, przedstawiono zachodzące zmiany, oraz przykładowe działania które wpływają na codzienne życie mieszkańców badanego obszaru. W rozdziale trzecim opisano wizję i cel GPE, wraz z przedstawieniem elementów technicznych i logistycznych związanych z budową inwestycji, oraz integracją z istniejącym systemem transportowym. Rozdział czwarty zawiera analizę dotyczącą charakterystyki Grand Paris Express jako transportu zrównoważonego uwzględniając aspekty społeczne, ekonomiczne i ekologiczne. W rozdziale piątym skupiono się na wpływie projektu na policentryczność Wielkiego Paryża, przedstawiając dane i wnioski. Zakres czasowy pracy obejmuje lata od pierwszej dekady XXI wieku (rozpoczęcie rozważań nad realizacją projektu) do czasów współczesnych tj. 2024 roku. Natomiast, w celu zarysowania rozwoju transportu w metropolii Paryża odwołano się do okresu od początku XX wieku do czasów obecnych. Zakres przestrzenny badań obejmuje głównie obszar Wielkiego Paryża, jednak w niektórych analizach uwzględniono również samo miasto Paryż - oraz w szerszym ujęciu - region Île-de-France.
