Wpływ odkryć złóż gazu ziemnego we wschodnim Morzu Śródziemnym na międzynarodowe stosunki polityczno-wojskowe w regionie

dc.abstract.enThis paper examines the impact that natural gas discoveries in the Eastern Mediterranean have had on regional conflicts and international relations in the 21st century. The author analyzes the political history of the region and the patterns and causes of local conflicts. The energy situation of the countries of the region and their strategic and economic interests are examined and interpreted. Afterwards, the author describes the development of local infrastructure for the extraction and transmission of natural gas. The paper then investigates the resource aspect of the conflicts in Libya, Syria, the Aegean, Cyprus, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel and Palestine and compares its impact to other factors shaping the course of these conflicts. Subsequently, the author examines whether the regional natural gas deposits contribute to changes in the Eastern Mediterranean balance of power and the political prospects of the region.
dc.abstract.plW niniejszej pracy zbadany zostaje wpływ jaki odkrycia gazu ziemnego w regionie wschodniego Morza Śródziemnego miały na regionalne konflikty i stosunki międzypaństwowe w XXI w. Analizie poddano historię polityczną regionu i źródła lokalnych konfliktów. Następnie opisano sytuację energetyczną państw regionu i zinterpretowano ich interesy strategiczne i ekonomiczne, a także opisano rozwój i plany rozwoju lokalnej infrastruktury służącej do wydobycia i przesyłu gazu ziemnego. W dalszej części pracy zbadano aspekt surowcowy konfliktów w Libii, w Syrii, na Morzu Egejskim, na Cyprze, w Libanie, w Egipcie, w Izraelu i w Palestynie oraz porównano wpływ tego aspektu do wpływu innych czynników kształtujących przebieg owych konfliktów. Następnie zbadano czy złoża surowców przyczyniają się do zmiany układu sił we wschodnim Morzu Śródziemnym i do zmiany perspektyw politycznych regionu.
