Elementy tradycyjne i wpływy zachodnie w modzie koreańskiej w XX i XXI wieku

dc.abstract.en	The paper analyzes the evolution of Korean fashion in the 20th and 21st centuries, focusing on the relationship between the traditional hanbok and Western influences. It demonstrates that clothing in South Korea was never purely aesthetic, but reflected political and social transformations. Chapter I discusses the hanbok, its first modifications under the influence of Japanese occupation, and the emergence of the sin yeoseong and modeon geol as an expression of resistance against patriarchy. Chapter II analyzes the Westernization of fashion under the rule of Park Chung-hee, focusing on Nora Noh, the first Korean fashion designer. Chapter III examines the presence of tradition in contemporary fashion, the phenomenon of self-exoticization, the four components of Korean aesthetics, and the role of K-pop in popularizing the sin hanbok. Conclusion: the success of K-fashion is based on a synthesis of modernity and tradition, not on imitation of the West.

Wykazuje, że ubiór w Korei Południowej nigdy nie był wyłącznie estetyczny, lecz odzwierciedlał przemiany polityczne i społeczne. Rozdział I omawia hanbok, jego pierwsze modyfikacje pod wpływem okupacji japońskiej oraz narodziny sin yeoseong i modeon geol jako wyraz oporu wobec patriarchatu. Rozdział II analizuje westernizację mody za rządów Park Chung-hee, skupiając się na Norze Noh, pierwszej koreańskiej projektantce. Rozdział III bada obecność tradycji we współczesnej modzie, zjawisko samo-egzotyzacji, cztery komponenty estetyki koreańskiej oraz rolę K-popu w popularyzacji sin hanboku. Wniosek: sukces k-fashion opiera się na syntezie nowoczesności z tradycją, nie na naśladownictwie Zachodu.
