Porównanie systemów obronności Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej i Kanady w ramach członkostwa w NATO (1999-2025)

dc.abstract.en	The dissertation entitled „A Comparative Analysis of the Defence Systems of the Republic of Poland and Canada within the NATO Alliance (1999–2025)” analyses the state and defence capabilities of the Republic of Poland and Canada. The work raises the issue of two countries that are in a completely different security reality. However, they share one key feature crucial to the topic at hand – NATO membership. The paper shows how the Alliance prepares Member States to cooperate in the face of threats to sovereignty and territorial integrity. The three parts of the paper describe the regulations concerning the defence of both countries, what strategic goals and tasks in the field of security are prioritized by the countries in question and what is the current state of their defence systems. The data contained in the paper were obtained from SIPRI and GlobalFirePower reports. The text also discusses potential threats that may appear in the near future. The paper takes into account the dynamic nature of the development of security issues, but does not touch on new solutions planned for years beyond the adopted time frame. The dissertation, due to the ongoing hostilities on the territory of Ukraine and the actions taken by the People's Republic of China in the Arctic areas, is of an up-to-date nature, but the issues raised require constant observation and development.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca pod tytułem “Porównanie systemów obronności Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej i Kanady w ramach członkostwa w sojuszu NATO (1999 - 2025)” analizuje stan oraz możliwości obronne Rzeczypospolitej oraz Kanady. Praca porusza problematykę dwóch państw, znajdujących się w zupełnie innej rzeczywistości bezpieczeństwa. Niezależnie od tego posiadają jedną, kluczową dla omawianego tematu, wspólną cechę - członkostwo w NATO. Praca ukazuje, w jaki sposób Sojusz przygotowuje państwa członkowskie do współpracy w sytuacji zagrożenia suwerenności oraz integralności terytorialnej. W trzech częściach pracy opisane zostały regulacje dotyczące obronności obu państw, jakie cele oraz zadania strategiczne w zakresie bezpieczeństwa priorytetyzują omawiane państwa oraz jaki jest aktualny stan ich systemów obronności. Dane zawarte w pracy zostały pozyskane z raportów SIPRI oraz GlobalFirePower. W tekście poruszono również potencjalne zagrożenia, które mogą się pojawić w niedalekiej przyszłości. Praca uwzględnia dynamiczną specyfikę rozwoju problematyki bezpieczeństwa, jednakże nie porusza nowych rozwiązań, planowanych na lata wybiegające poza przyjęte ramy czasowe. Praca, za sprawą toczących się na terytorium Ukrainy działań wojennych oraz działań podejmowanych przez Chińską Republikę Ludową w terenach arktycznych, posiada aktualny charakter, jednakże poruszana problematyka wymaga ciągłej obserwacji i rozwoju.
