Działalność i myśl polityczna Wasyla Iwanysa (1888-1974). Wybrane Zagadnienia

dc.abstract.en	This thesis presents the life, activities, and political views of Vasyl Ivanys (1888–1974). He was a prominent figure in Ukrainian political and cultural life, serving as a politician and social activist, while concurrently working as an engineer, economist, and publicist. Both during the period of revolutionary upheaval and in exile, he remained among the most active and significant figures associated with the Kuban region. The primary objective of this thesis is to reconstruct his political biography and to assess the role he played within the Ukrainian and Kuban émigré communities – a subject that remains insufficiently explored in Polish historiography. The research relies on source materials and literature compiled from Ukrainian and Canadian libraries. A crucial primary source base comprises Ivanys's memoirs, Стежками життя. Спогади [Paths of Life: Memoirs] (Vols. 1–5, Buenos Aires, Neu-Ulm 1958–1962; Vol. 1 – 194 pp., Vol. 2 – 366 pp., Vol. 3 – 350 pp., Vol. 4 – 404 pp., Vol. 5 – 518 pp.). This thesis demonstrates that a comprehensive analysis of Vasyl Ivanys's political views necessitates the integration of a biographical research perspective.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca przedstawia życie, działalność i poglądy polityczne Wasyla Iwanysa (1888–1974). Był on wybitną postacią ukraińskiego życia politycznego i kulturalnego, politykiem i działaczem społecznym, a zarazem inżynierem, ekonomistą, i publicystą. Zarówno w okresie wydarzeń rewolucyjnych, jak i na emigracji należał do najbardziej aktywnych i znaczących działaczy związanych z Kubaniem. Celem pracy jest rekonstrukcja jego biografii politycznej oraz określenie roli, jaką odegrał w środowisku emigracji ukraińskiej i kubańskiej, pozostającej dotąd słabo rozpoznaną w polskiej historiografii. W badaniach wykorzystano materiały i opracowania zgromadzone w bibliotekach ukraińskich i kanadyjskich. Istotną podstawę źródłową stanowią również wspomnienia W. Iwanysa Стежками життя. Спогади (t. 1–5, Buenos Aires, Nowy Ulm 1958–1962; t. 1 – 194 s., t. 2 – 366 s., t. 3 – 350 s., t. 4 – 404 s., t. 5 – 518 s.). W pracy wykazano, że analiza poglądów politycznych W. Iwanysa wymaga uwzględnienia perspektywy badań biograficznych.
