English-Italian Terminological Dictionary of Papermaking and Printing based on Arctic Paper’s document

dc.abstract.en	The work focused on the creation of a bilingual terminological dictionary that covers selected topics in paper production, paper properties, printing technology and finishing processes. In carrying out the project, it was important to take into account both the theoretical requirements, arising from the principles of terminology and lexicography, and the practical needs of potential users, including translators and specialists in the paper and printing industry. The development of the dictionary required the integration of knowledge of specialist terminology and translation and the precise selection of terms, which were carefully described through clear definitions and Italian equivalents. It was also important to adapt the form of the dictionary, both in terms of structure and additional elements such as illustrations or division into thematic terminological groups, in order to increase the clarity and functionality of the tool. The final result of the work shows that such a comprehensive approach makes it possible to create a terminological resource that can effectively support the learning process and facilitate professional work, especially in the context of specialist translation. The developed dictionary, containing 77 terms, is a practical tool that combines theoretical knowledge with the needs of users, thus confirming the sense and effectiveness of the methodological solutions adopted.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca koncentruje się na stworzeniu dwujęzycznego słownika terminologicznego, który obejmuje wybrane zagadnienia z zakresu produkcji papieru, jego właściwości, technologii druku oraz procesów wykończeniowych. Podczas realizacji projektu istotne było uwzględnienie zarówno wymagań teoretycznych, wynikających z zasad terminologii i leksykografii, jak i praktycznych potrzeb potencjalnych użytkowników, w tym tłumaczy oraz specjalistów z branży papierniczo-poligraficznej. Opracowanie słownika wymagało integracji wiedzy z zakresu terminologii specjalistycznej i tłumaczeń oraz precyzyjnego doboru terminów, które zostały starannie opisane poprzez jasne definicje oraz włoskie odpowiedniki. Istotnym elementem było także dostosowanie formy słownika, zarówno pod względem struktury, jak i elementów dodatkowych, takich jak ilustracje czy podział na tematyczne grupy terminologiczne, co miało na celu zwiększenie przejrzystości i funkcjonalności narzędzia. Efekt końcowy pracy wskazuje, że takie kompleksowe podejście pozwala na stworzenie zasobu terminologicznego, który może skutecznie wspierać proces nauczania i ułatwiać pracę zawodową, zwłaszcza w kontekście tłumaczeń specjalistycznych. Opracowany słownik, zawierający 77 terminów, stanowi praktyczne narzędzie, które łączy wiedzę teoretyczną z potrzebami użytkowników, potwierdzając tym samym sens i skuteczność przyjętych rozwiązań metodologicznych.
