Du langage des nombres à celui des mots : enjeux de la traduction polonaise de C'est mathématique !

dc.abstract.en	The aim of this thesis is to show the translation challenges faced by translators while working on the translation of popular science literature intended for a young audience. The empirical basis of the study is an analysis of the Polish translation of the book C’est mathématique ! (2014) by Carina Louart and Florence Pinaud, translated by Katarzyna Marczewska. The research material is further enriched by the conclusions of an interview conducted with the translator specifically for the purposes of this thesis. Particular attention is paid to translation strategies such as domestication and foreignisation, as well as to the challenges arising from the relationship between text and illustration. Translation as a collaborative process is also discussed, including cooperation between the translator, the editorial team and the subject-matter experts, as well as analysing the influence of editorial revision on the final form of the target text.

dc.abstract.other	L’objectif de ce mémoire est de montrer les enjeux de la traduction auxquels les traducteurs sont confrontés lors de la traduction d’ouvrages de vulgarisation scientifique destinés à un jeune public. La base empirique de l’étude repose sur l’analyse de la traduction polonaise de C’est mathématique ! (2014) de Carina Louart et Florence Pinaud, réalisée par Katarzyna Marczewska. Le corpus de recherche est enrichi par les conclusions d’un entretien mené avec la traductrice dans le cadre de ce mémoire. Une attention particulière est consacrée aux stratégies de traduction : la domestication et l'étragéisation, ainsi qu’aux difficultés découlant des relations entre le texte et l’image. La traduction comme processus collaboratif est également abordée, en prenant en compte la coopération entre le traducteur, l'équipe éditoriale et les experts scientifiques, tout en analysant l’influence de la révision éditoriale sur la forme finale du texte cible.
dc.abstract.pl	Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie wyzwań translatorskich, z jakimi mierzą się tłumacze podczas pracy nad przekładem literatury popularnonaukowej skierowanej do młodszego kręgu odbiorców. Podstawę empiryczną badania stanowi analiza polskiego tłumaczenia książki C’est mathématique ! (2014) autorstwa Cariny Louart i Florence Pinaud, zrealizowanego przez Katarzynę Marczewską. Materiał badawczy wzbogacono o wnioski z wywiadu przeprowadzonego z tłumaczką na potrzeby niniejszej pracy. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono strategiom translatorskim, takim jak domestykacja i egzotyzacja, a także trudnościom wynikającym z relacji między tekstem a ilustracją. Omówiono również przekład jako proces zbiorowy, uwzględniający współpracę tłumacza z redakcją oraz ekspertami merytorycznymi, jak również przeanalizowano wpływ adiustacji redakcyjnej na ostateczny kształt tekstu docelowego.
