Obraz nauczyciela i jego rola w dyskursie medialnym, a jego samoocena zawodowa

dc.abstract.en	The subject of the thesis is the image of the teacher and their role in media discourse, juxtaposed with professional self-esteem. The main objective is to describe the image of the educator created by the media and to examine the relationship between this message and the professional self-evaluation of the surveyed teachers. The paper consists of a theoretical introduction, a description of the methodological assumptions of the study, and an analysis of the results. The contemporary role of the teacher is discussed. The status and required competencies of the teaching profession are also examined. A separate chapter is devoted to the factors shaping teachers' self-esteem. Methodological triangulation was applied in the research process, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. Conclusions drawn from the conducted content analysis indicate that the image of the teacher is more frequently presented with a negative connotation, based on criticism and highlighting internal conflicts within the educational system. The second part of the research was carried out using a diagnostic survey method, utilizing a prepared professional self-evaluation questionnaire. The results showed that despite media criticism, teachers possess a fairly high overall level of professional self-esteem and are aware of their competencies. Juxtaposing both perspectives helped to understand the correlation between the media image of the teacher and their professional self-evaluation, as well as to recognize how many factors contribute to educators' sense of self-worth.
dc.abstract.pl	Tematem pracy jest obraz nauczyciela i jego rola w dyskursie medialnym, w zestawieniu z samooceną zawodową. Głównym celem jest opis wizerunku pedagoga kreowany przez media oraz sprawdzenie związku między tym przekazem, a samooceną zawodową badanych nauczycieli. Praca składa się z wprowadzenia teoretycznego, opisu założeń metodologicznych badania, oraz analizy wyników. Przedyskutowana została współczesna rola nauczyciela. Omówiono status i wymagane kompetencje zawodu nauczycielskiego. Odrębny rozdział poświęcono czynnikom kształtującym samoocenę nauczyciela. W procesie badawczym zastosowano triangulację metod, łącząc jakościowe i ilościowe podejście. Konkluzje wynikające z przeprowadzonej analizy treści pokazują, że obraz nauczyciela częściej przedstawiany jest z nacechowaniem negatywnym, opartym na krytyce i uwypukleniu wewnętrznych konfliktów w systemie oświaty. Druga część badań została zrealizowana za pomocą metody sondażu diagnostycznego z wykorzystaniem przygotowanego kwestionariusza samooceny zawodowej. Wyniki pokazały, że mimo medialnej krytyki nauczyciele mają dość wysoki ogólny poziom samooceny zawodowej, są świadomi swoich kompetencji. Zestawienie obu perspektyw pomogło zrozumieć zależności między medialnym obrazem nauczyciela, a jego samooceną zawodową oraz dostrzec jak wiele czynników składa się na poczucie własnej wartości u pedagogów.
