Widzenie gór. Pejzaż tatrzański w twórczości Leona Wyczółkowskiego

dc.abstract.enThe thesis examines Tatra motifs in the work of Leon Wyczółkowski within the broader context of the transformation of modern landscape painting at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the problem of perception, and the emergence of the idea of the national landscape in Polish culture. Its aim is to demonstrate that Wyczółkowski's representations of the Tatra Mountains should be understood not merely as examples of mountain landscape painting, but as manifestations of a modern mode of perceiving the landscape and of the artist's distinctive relationship with nature. The study also explores the relationship between Wyczółkowski's artistic practice and the development of landscape photography.
dc.abstract.plTematem pracy jest analiza motywów tatrzańskich w twórczości Leona Wyczółkowskiego, rozpatrywanych w kontekście przemian nowoczesnego pejzażu przełomu XIX i XX wieku, problematyki percepcji oraz kształtowania się idei krajobrazu narodowego w kulturze polskiej. Celem pracy jest ukazanie, że przedstawienia Tatr autorstwa Wyczółkowskiego są świadectwem nowoczesnego sposobu widzenia krajobrazu oraz szczególnej relacji artysty wobec natury. W pracy podjęto także próbę ukazania relacji pomiędzy twórczością Wyczółkowskiego a rozwijającą się wówczas fotografią krajobrazową.
