dc.abstract.en	The thesis analyzes the body of work of turkish cinema star Türkan Şoray in the feminist context, focusing on her typecast and role she played in shaping Yeşilçam cinema. Throughout her career, the actress portrayed various of characters - beginning with passive, naive, subjugated by patriarchal structures, ending with strong and independent female figures who challenged traditional gender norms. Her screen image is embedded in the broader context of Turkey's social transformations between the 1960s and 1980s. The thesis analized selected films featuring Türkan Şoray, with a focus on the characters she embodied and the ways they were portrayed. The aim of the analysis is to find out whether the female images she created on screen position her as a forerunner of second-wave feminism in Turkish cinema.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca analizuje dorobek ikony tureckiego kina Türkan Şoray z perspektywy feministycznej, skupiając się na jej emploi oraz roli, jaką odegrała w kształtowaniu się kina Yeşilçam. Aktorka w swojej karierze wcielała się różnorodne role – od biernych, naiwnych i podporządkowanych patriarchalnym strukturom, po silne i niezależne kobiety podważające tradycyjne wzorce płci. Jej wizerunek osadzony jest w procesie przemian społecznych w Turcji w latach 60. – 80. XX wieku. W pracy przeanalizowano wybrane filmy z udziałem Türkan Şoray, koncentrując się na kreowanych przez nią postaciach oraz sposobie ich przedstawiania. Celem analizy było zbadanie czy wizerunki kobiet, jakie tworzyła na ekranie, pozwalają uznać ją za prekursorkę feminizmu drugiej fali w tureckiej kinematografii.
