Entre la vie d'un adolescent américain et le monde des dieux et des héros : la traduction de Percy Jackson et le voleur de foudre en polonais et en français

dc.abstract.en	The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyse the translation strategies and techniques employed in the Polish and French versions of Rick Riordan's novel Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Particular attention has been paid to two main translational challenges: the rendering of the narrator's adolescent language and the translation of American cultural realities. To explore these issues in greater depth, selected examples from the Polish translation (Agnieszka Fulińska, 2009) and the French translation (Mona de Pracontal, 2023) have been analysed. Finally, a reflection is offered on the coherence of the strategies adopted and their impact on the authenticity of the target text.

Une attention particulière a été accordée à deux défis traductologiques principaux: la restitution du langage adolescent du narrateur et la traduction des réalités culturelles américaines. Afin d'approfondir ces questions, des exemples tirés de la traduction polonaise (Agnieszka Fulińska, 2009) et française (Mona de Pracontal, 2023) ont été analysés. Enfin, une réflexion est proposée sur la cohérence des stratégies adoptées et leur impact sur l'authenticité du texte cible.
dc.abstract.pl	Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest analiza strategii i technik tłumaczeniowych zastosowanych w polskim i francuskim przekładzie powieści Percy Jackson i złodziej pioruna autorstwa Ricka Riordana. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono dwóm głównym wyzwaniom translatorycznym: oddaniu języka młodzieżowego narratora oraz przekładowi amerykańskich realiów kulturowych. Aby zbadać te zagadnienia, przeanalizowano wybrane przykłady z przekładu polskiego (Agnieszka Fulińska, 2009) i francuskiego (Mona de Pracontal, 2023). Na koniec przedstawiono refleksję na temat spójności przyjętych strategii i ich wpływu na autentyczność tekstu docelowego.
