Eksperymentalne porównanie stopnia dojrzałości materii organicznej na podstawie pomiarów refleksyjności witrynitu i autofluorescencji oraz ocena ich przydatności w odtwarzaniu historii termicznej

dc.abstract.enIn this study, two methods for assessing the maturity of organic matter were compared and evaluated. The primary objective was to correlate the autofluorescence of microfossils with vitrinite reflectance values (VRo%) and to examine their relationships. The analyses were conducted using rock material from core samples, as well as geological data from four boreholes: Oleśnica 3, Łętowice 20, Zagorzyce 6, and Zalasowa 2. The first two boreholes are located in the Polish Carpathian Foredeep, while the latter two are situated in the Outer Carpathians (Skole Nappe and Silesian Nappe). To determine the coloration of the organic matter, specimens of Jurassic dinoflagellate cysts were macerated and examined under a microscope. Images of each microscope slide were captured under both white incident light and ultraviolet light. The observed colors of each cyst were then converted into vitrinite reflectance equivalents using established charts and diagrams. Additionally, digital RGB color measurements were performed to confirm and systematize the obtained Ro% values. Vitrinite reflectance measurements were conducted on dispersed vitrinite particles found on polished rock samples. Finally, all results were correlated, compared, and evaluated in terms of their precision and effectiveness. In each borehole, a trend of progressive changes in maturity with depth was evident. The results confirmed the usefulness and positive correlation of both methods. Moreover, a practical application of these data was demonstrated through the example of modelling the thermal and burial history of the sedimentary basin. The methodology presented in this study holds promise for further research on the classification and systematics of maturity assessment of the examined organic matter.
dc.abstract.plW pracy podjęto próbę porównania ze sobą dwóch metod oceny dojrzałości termicznej materii organicznej. Analizy zostały przeprowadzone w oparciu o materiał skalny i dane geologiczne pochodzące z czterech otworów wiertniczych Oleśnica 3, Łętowice 20, Zagorzyce 6 i Zalasowa 2, zlokalizowanych na zapadlisku przedkarpackim oraz w Karpatach Zewnętrznych. Próbki poddano maceracji palinologicznej, a następnie na podstawie kolorystyki i fluorescencji znajdujących się w nich cyst dinoflagellata, oszacowano przedziały wartości odpowiadające refleksyjności witrynitu. Zaobserwowane kolory mikroskamieniałości rozłożono na pasma barw podstawowych RGB. Na zgładach wykonanych z fragmentów rdzeni wiertniczych pomierzono refleksyjność witrynitu (VRo%) rozproszonej materii organicznej. Rezultaty zostały ze sobą zestawione, porównane oraz ocenione pod względem precyzji i wiarygodności. Zaprezentowano również przykładowy sposób ich wykorzystania w modelowaniu basenu sedymentacyjnego. Otrzymane wyniki potwierdziły istnienie zależności i korelacji pomiędzy metodami oraz wskazały na skuteczność przeprowadzonych analiz.
