Trade relations between United States and European Union in the years 2010-2023

dc.abstract.en	The relationship between the United States, as a global superpower, and the European Union, the most complex international organization, has always been unique. It has evolved through different periods in the history of the modern world since the end of the Second World War. This thesis analyzes the process of European recovery, which was primarily supported by the United States in order to prevent the spread of communism and limit the expansion of the USSR. Over time, as the international order changed, cooperation between the EU and the United States intensified, and both actors became significant trade partners for each other. The thesis also examines the evolution of these relations and explores how trade between the partners is regulated, including attempts to establish a more comprehensive institutional framework. The main objective of the thesis was to demonstrate that despite the strong economic incentives and strategic arguments, the United States and the European Union have encountered obstacles preventing the conclusion of a comprehensive trade agreement.
