„Drodzy bezdzietni lambadziarze i lambadziary [...]”. Konstrukcje tożsamości osób bezdzietnych z wyboru w przestrzeni cyfrowej

dc.abstract.en	The thesis concerns the phenomenon of childlessness by choice, analyzed from the perspective of identity and the role of online communities in shaping that identity. The theoretical framework includes: Anthony Giddens’ concept of reflexive identity, Manuel Castells’ typology of collective identities, Michel Maffesoli’s theory of neo-tribes, and rational choice theory (Gary Becker’s economic theory of fertility and Anna Giza-Poleszczuk’s strategic model of family analysis). The empirical basis of the study consists of non-standardized, semi-structured in-depth interviews with six members of one of the largest Polish Facebook groups bringing together people who are childfree. The analysis showed that adopting a childfree identity is the result of long-term reflection and self-examination, and that the way this identity is communicated is influenced by experienced stigmatization. It has been demonstrated that a collective identity has emerged, reinforced by belonging to the online group. The elements that build this collective identity include, among others, shared practices and rituals, as well as the creation of a specific language.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca dotyczy zjawiska bezdzietności z wyboru, analizowanego w perspektywie tożsamościowej oraz roli wspólnot internetowych w kształtowaniu tożsamości. Ramy teoretyczne pracy obejmują: koncepcję tożsamości refleksyjnej Anthony’ego Giddensa, typologię tożsamości zbiorowych Manuela Castellsa, teorię nowoplemion Michela Maffesolego oraz teorię racjonalnego wyboru (ekonomiczną teorię rozrodczości Gary’ego Beckera i strategiczny model analizy rodziny Anny Gizy-Poleszczuk). Empiryczną podstawą pracy są niestandaryzowane, półstrukturalne wywiady pogłębione z sześcioma członkami jednej z największych polskich grup facebookowych zrzeszających osoby bezdzietne z wyboru. Analiza wykazała, że przyjęcie tożsamości bezdzietnej jest efektem długotrwałego namysłu i autorefleksji, a na sposób jej komunikowania wpływa doświadczana stygmatyzacja. Udowodniono, że wytworzyła się tożsamość zbiorowa, wzmacniana przez przynależność do internetowej grupy. Elementami budującymi tożsamość zbiorową są m.in. wspólne praktyki i rytuały oraz wytworzenie się specyficznego języka.
