Zakopiańska turystyka halal: spojrzenie lokalne

dc.abstract.en	This thesis is dedicated to the topic of halal tourism in Zakopane and the problems that have arisen with the emergence of this type of tourism a few years ago. Halal tourism is not a new phenomenon globally, but it is one for the economy of Zakopane. In this paper I answer the questions whether Zakopane's tourism industry approaches halal tourists differently from the other guests; I also ask about the attitude of the local residents towards halal tourists. In the first part of this thesis I focus on discussing already exhisting ways used by Zakopane's tourism industry to attract tourists, meanwhile in the second part I describe the current state of halal tourism in the capital of the Polish Tatra Mountains. I conducted the research between 2024 and 2026 as a part of the ethnographic laboratory Etnografia obszarów Górskich: Tatry i Podtatrze led by dr hab. Hubert Wierciński. Field data was gained through the interviews with local residents, as well as the observation of Zakopane's and digital spaces. The theoretical framework draws upon the literature dealing with the topics of tourism, globalization, stereotypes and orientalism. The research shows that, in Zakopane, there are certain places specifically prepared with halal tourists in mind; who in turn promote and advertise them on social media. Among the residents of Zakopane the opinions on halal tourists vary, yet they frequently feature certain common stereotypes, that spread through the overheard rumours.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca poświęcona jest tematyce turystyki halal w Zakopanem oraz problemom, które powstały wraz z pojawieniem się tego rodzaju turystyki kilka lat temu. Turystyka halal nie jest zjawiskiem globalnie nowym, jednak dla zakopiańskiej gospodarki już tak. W pracy odpowiadam na pytania o to, czy branża turystyczna Zakopanego traktuje turystów halal w odmienny sposób, niż pozostałych gości; pytam także o stosunek mieszkańców regionu wobec turystów halal. W pierwszej części pracy skupiam się na omówieniu dotychczasowych prób przyciągania turystów przez branżę turystyczną Zakopanego, natomiast w drugiej opisuję jak turystyka halal wygląda w polskiej stolicy Tatr. Badania przeprowadziłem w latach 2024-2026 w ramach laboratorium etnograficznego ,,Etnografia obszarów górskich: Tatry i Podtatrze” prowadzonego przez dr hab. Huberta Wiercińskiego. Wiedza terenowa została uzyskana przy pomocy rozmów z mieszkańcami oraz obserwacji przestrzeni Zakopanego i Internetu. Wykorzystałem także literaturę zajmującą się tematami turystyki, globalizacji, stereotypów i orientalizmu. Z badań wynika, że na terenie Zakopanego istnieją miejsca specjalnie przygotowane z myślą o turystach halal; ci zaś reklamują i rekomendują je kolejnym turystom przy pomocy mediów społecznościowych. Wśród samych mieszkańców Zakopanego opinie o turystach halal są różne, jednak występują w nich powszechne stereotypy rozprzestrzeniające się przy pomocy zasłyszanych od innych osób plotek.
