dc.abstract.en	The purpose of this study is to present and analyze the phenomenon of the television series The Sopranos, as well as to investigate the sources of its enduring popularity among contemporary viewers. The theoretical framework is dedicated to the history of the American television series and serves as a starting point for a detailed analysis of the production. Furthermore, the fundamental characteristics and distinctive elements of The Sopranos are outlined. The second part of the work confronts the theoretical assumptions found in the literature with the analyzed production and presents the results of a survey conducted among the viewers of the series. The analysis confirms the theses formulated in the subject literature and highlights the timeless nature of The Sopranos, which, in the assessment of contemporary audiences, consistently maintains its status as a groundbreaking phenomenon.
dc.abstract.pl	Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie i analiza fenomenu serialu telewizyjnego Rodzina Soprano oraz zbadanie przyczyn jego trwałej popularności wśród współczesnych widzów. Warstwa teoretyczna została poświęcona historii amerykańskiego serialu telewizyjnego i stanowi punkt wyjścia do szczegółowej analizy produkcji, która jest tematem pracy. Opisane zostały również fundamentalne cechy i elementy wyróżniające Rodzinę Soprano. Druga część pracy konfrontuje merytoryczne założenia literatury z omawianą produkcją oraz przedstawia wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród widzów serialu. Przeprowadzona analiza potwierdza tezy sformułowane w literaturze przedmiotu i wskazuje na ponadczasowy charakter serialu Rodzina Soprano, który w ocenie współczesnych odbiorców niezmiennie zachowuje status przełomowego fenomenu.
