Wykorzystanie modeli mentalnych użytkowników w projektowaniu usług dla różnych grup wiekowych na przykładzie e-administracji

dc.abstract.en	The aim of this thesis is to present the issue of using users' mental models in the design of digital services, taking into account age group differences, using the example of e-government. The theoretical background of the issue is first introduced, describing the role of mental models as cognitive representations that support interaction with information systems. Various definitions of mental models, their characteristics, and their significance in usability research and information architecture are discussed. The thesis then analyzes existing research on age-related differences in mental models and presents the current state and challenges of e-government. In the second part of the thesis, a study is presented that aimed to investigate how users’ mental models from different age groups influence their use of e-government services, and which interface elements are intuitive or problematic for them. The study took the form of usability testing using the think-aloud protocol and included three age groups. The results confirmed the hypothesis that differences in mental models exist between groups. Differences in perceived usability and satisfaction with the use of e-government systems were also demonstrated. Finally, the thesis presents design proposals that address the needs of different age groups and provides recommendations for further research on mental models in the context of designing user-friendly electronic government systems.
dc.abstract.pl	Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zagadnienia wykorzystania modeli mentalnych użytkowników w projektowaniu usług cyfrowych, z uwzględnieniem różnic pomiędzy grupami wiekowymi na przykładzie e-administracji. Na początku przedstawiono tło teoretyczne omawianego problemu, opisując rolę modeli mentalnych jako poznawczych reprezentacji wspierających interakcję z systemami informatycznymi. Omówiono różne definicje modeli mentalnych, ich charakterystykę oraz znaczenie w badaniach użyteczności i architektury informacji. Następnie przeanalizowano dotychczasowe badania dotyczące różnic wiekowych w modelach mentalnych oraz przedstawiono obecny stan i wyzwania e-administracji. W drugiej części pracy zaprezentowano badanie, którego celem było sprawdzenie, jak modele mentalne użytkowników z różnych grup wiekowych wpływają na korzystanie z usług e-administracji oraz które elementy interfejsu są dla nich intuicyjne lub problematyczne. Badanie miało formę testów użyteczności z zastosowaniem protokołu głośnego myślenia i objęło trzy grupy wiekowe. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdziły hipotezę o istnieniu różnic w modelach mentalnych między grupami. Wykazano także zróżnicowanie w ocenie użyteczności i poziomie satysfakcji z korzystania z systemów e-administracji. Na koniec przedstawiono propozycje projektowe uwzględniające potrzeby różnych grup wiekowych oraz rekomendacje dalszych badań nad modelami mentalnymi w kontekście projektowania użytecznych systemów elektronicznej administracji.
