„Byle nie być niewolnikiem... ” – postkolonialny wymiar „Snu srebrnego Salomei” w reżyserii Piotra Cieplaka

dc.abstract.en	This thesis offers an analysis and interpretation of „The Silver Dream of Salome” by Juliusz Słowacki as directed by Piotr Cieplak (premiered on November 19, 2022, at the Helena Modrzejewska Theatre in Legnica). The author conducts the analysis from a postcolonial perspective, focusing on the construction of identity in the Polish-Ukrainian borderland and on the relationships between the center and the periphery. An important aspect of the study is also the representation of Ukraine in the works of Juliusz Słowacki. The thesis further discusses selected earlier stagings of „The Silver Dream of Salome”, particularly those that emphasized political issues and the theme of Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the changes introduced by the director to the dramatic text, which strengthen the political dimension of the production and contribute to the contemporary reinterpretation of the issues addressed in Słowacki’s drama.
dc.abstract.pl	Praca stanowi analizę i interpretację Snu srebrnego Salomei Juliusza Słowackiego w reżyserii Piotra Cieplaka (premiera 19.11.2022, Teatr im. Heleny Modrzejewskiej w Legnicy). Autorka przeprowadza analizę z perspektywy postkolonialnej, skupiając się na sposobach konstruowania tożsamości na pograniczu polsko-ukraińskim oraz na relacjach między centrum a peryferiami. Ważnym tematem jest również obraz Ukrainy w twórczości Juliusza Słowackiego. W pracy omówiono także wybrane wcześniejsze inscenizacje Snu srebrnego Salomei, w których kładziono nacisk na kwestie polityczne i temat Ukrainy. Szczególną uwagę Autorka poświęciła zmianom, wprowadzonym przez reżysera do tekstu dramatu, które wzmacniają polityczny wymiar tego spektaklu, a także sprawiają, że problematyka dramatu Słowackiego podlega aktualizacji.
