„Muzyczne dzieci Jarocina”. Aktywizm polityczny w muzyce lat 80. i 90

dc.abstract.enThis paper aims to examine the concept of political activism in the music of the 80’s and 90’s. The starting point of the study will be the Festival of Rock Musicians in Jarocin, widely considered as a symbol of rebellion reflected in music. The paper will provide both a reconstruction of these events and their analysis. Musical lyrics from the period mentioned in the title will also be analyzed. Particular emphasis will be placed on the issues reflected in the music, the impact of censorship upon it, and how this evolved over the years. An important element of the discussion is also the history of the Festival of Rock Musicians in Jarocin and how it reflects the changes taking place in Poland in the 80’s and 90’s. The paper also aims to determine whether political activism in music survived the systemic changes and, if so, in what form. The study explores the political activism contained in punk and rock music and describes fragments of the works of artists performing these genres. Because academic sources concerning the described subject matter are scarce, this paper is largely based on the testimonies of the participants of the described events themselves.
dc.abstract.plNiniejsza praca ma na celu zbadanie pojęcia aktywizmu politycznego muzyki lat 80. i 90. Punktem wyjściowym pracy będzie Festiwal Muzyków Rockowych w Jarocinie, powszechnie uznawany za symbol buntu odzwierciedlonego w muzyce. W pracy zostanie dokonana zarówno rekonstrukcja wydarzeń jak i ich analiza. Poddane analizie zostaną również teksty muzyczne z okresu zawartego w tytule pracy. Szczególny nacisk zostanie położony na to jakie problemy odzwierciedlane są w muzyce, jaki wpływ miała na nią cenzura oraz jak zmieniało się to na przestrzeni lat. Ważnym elementem rozważań jest również historia Festiwalu Muzyków Rockowych w Jarocinie i jak ona odzwierciedla zmiany zachodzące w polsce lat 80. i 90. Praca ma na celu również określenie czy aktywizm polityczny w muzyce przetrwał zmiany systemowe i jeśli tak to w jakiej formie. Praca dotyka aktywizmu politycznego zawartego w muzyce Punkowej i Rockowej oraz opisuje fragmenty twórczości artystów wykonujących te gatunki. Ponieważ źródła naukowe dotyczące opisanego zagadnienia są znikome praca powstała w dużej mierze na podstawie wypowiedzi samych uczestników opisywanych wydarzeń.
