dc.abstract.en	The reign of the Ming dynasty was the peak period of development for Chinese artistic craftsmanship and furniture making.This study focuses on analyzing the influence of the literati on the development of form and aesthetics in Ming dynasty furniture. It demonstrates that the literati played a crucial role in promoting refined taste within society. The aim of the research is to present the impact of the literati on Ming furniture through the analysis of collector treatises and other primary texts. The study discusses how furniture became a medium for conveying the cultural and philosophical values of the intellectual elite during the Ming dynasty.
dc.abstract.pl	Panowanie dynastii Ming to szczytowy okres rozwoju chińskiego rzemiosła artystycznego oraz meblarstwa. Niniejsza praca skupia się na analizie wpływu literatów na rozwój formy i estetyki mebli dynastii Ming. Przedstawiono, iż literaci odegrali kluczową rolę w szerzeniu dobrego gustu wśród społeczeństwa. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie wpływu literatów na meble dynastii Ming, poprzez analizę traktatów kolekcjonerskich i innych tekstów źródłowych. Omówiono w jaki sposób meble stały się nośnikiem wartości kulturowych i filozoficznych, elit intelektualnych dynastii Ming.
