The master's thesis analyzes how the contemporary Millennial generation understands and relates to the idea of ​​the American Dream, compared to previous generations, especially the Baby Boomers. The work examines whether Millennials associate success with traditional values, such as financial stability or homeownership, or the concept has changed because of the economic, technological and social challenges. The work describes the most popular generational theories, analyzes the changes that have occurred in the job market in recent decades and in cost and access to education, as well as the impact of technology. The findings indicate a shift in the definition of success towards a greater emphasis on personal fulfillment, life flexibility and work-life balance.
