Terapia integracji sensorycznej dzieci w relacjach matek. Interpretacyjna Analiza Fenomenologiczna
| dc.abstract.pl | Celem przeprowadzonych badań była eksploracja znaczenia doświadczeń związanych z uczestnictwem w procesach diagnozy i terapii metodą integracji sensorycznej. Zgromadzenie bogatego opisu tych doświadczeń i interpretacja nadawanych im sensów, miały w zamierzeniu przybliżyć zrozumienie fenomenu popularności metody SI wobec wielu związanych z nią kontrowersji. Sformułowano następujący problem badawczy: Jak system rodzinny dziecka, u którego zidentyfikowano trudności charakterystyczne dla zaburzeń integracji sensorycznej doświadcza procesów diagnozy i terapii metodą SI? Przeprowadzono 13 indywidualnych, pogłębionych, częściowo ustrukturyzowanych wywiadów z matkami. Zastosowano dobór celowy do próby, właściwy dla metodologii Interpretacyjnej Analizy Fenomenologicznej (IPA) zastosowanej w badaniu. Na podstawie analizy i interpretacji zgromadzonych danych wyróżniono 9 tematów głównych: Terapeutyczna funkcja diagnozy SI; Terapia SI jako odpowiedź na niezaspokojone potrzeby; Fizyczne i emocjonalne osamotnienie matek; Terapia SI jako jedno z wielu oddziaływań diagnostycznych i terapeutycznych; Diagnoza i terapia SI źródłem różnorodnych uczuć; Terapeuta jako człowiek o wielu kompetencjach; Profil dziecka – adresata terapii SI; Zmiany w rodzinie w wyniku terapii SI. Każdy z tematów głównych, obejmował podtematy charakteryzujące szczegółowo treści o doniosłych dla uczestniczek znaczeniach. W dyskusji wyników dokonano rewizji wyróżnionych tematów, odnosząc je do literatury przedmiotu i zidentyfikowano potencjalne przyczyny popularności metody integracji sensorycznej wśród współczesnych rodziców. Przedyskutowano je w odniesieniu do trendów wychowawczych obserwowanych w skali międzynarodowej, nie zapominając o ich psychologicznym znaczeniu konstruowanym na płaszczyźnie doświadczenia indywidualnego i doświadczenia systemu rodzinnego. Praca obrazuje także charakter i dynamikę zmian w procesach diagnostyczno-terapeutycznych z udziałem dzieci obserwowanych na przestrzeni ostatnich 50 lat wskazując ich dotychczasowe implikacje i wyznaczając kierunki dalszych badań. |
| dc.abstract.pl | The aim of the study was to explore the meanings of experience related to participation in diagnosis and therapy processes using the Sensory Integration Method. A rich description of these experiences and the interpretation of the meanings given to them were intended to introduce the understanding of the phenomenon of popularity of the SI method despite many controversies associated with it. The following research problem was formulated: How does a family system with a child that presents difficulties typical of sensory integration disorders experience diagnosis and therapy processes using the SI method? 13 individual, in-depth, semi-structured interviews with mothers were carried out. A purposive sampling was used, suitable for the methodology of Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) used in the study. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the collected data, 9 main themes were distinguished: Therapeutic function of SI diagnosis; SI therapy as a response to unmet needs; Physical and emotional loneliness of mothers; SI therapy as one of many interventions; Diagnosis and therapy as a source of various feelings; SI therapist as a man of many competences; Profile of the child – recipient of SI therapy; Family changes as a result of SI therapy. Each of the main themes, included subthemes characterizing in detail the meaningful content of mothers’ experience. In the discussion, the themes were reviewed, referring to the literature on the subject. The potential reasons for the popularity of the SI method among current parents have been identified. They were discussed in relation to parenting trends observed on an international scale, with respect to their psychological meaning constructed on the level of individual experience and the experience of the family system. The work also illustrates the nature and dynamics of changes in diagnostic and therapeutic processes with the participation of children observed over the past 50 years indicating their previous implications and determining the directions of further research. |
